Laser Engraving

Our two laser cutting machines are equipped with the ability to engrave into a variation of materials, such as most plastics, woods and even concrete. Laser engraving is an amazing process whereby the laser etches portraits, photos, shapes, patterns and more into the above materials, with precision and a beautiful finish.

Laser engraving is much preferred to achieve the final product, such as photo engraving, because it’s done at a fraction of the time it would take to do it any other way. In conjunction with this, no tools actually touch the material used. This results in a flawless finish, saving the imperfections that can be made by other tools that make contact. Contact tools can have a number of flaws when used, such as slip, friction and rotational pull, but when using a laser, all these flaws are avoided. This is especially important when creating a portrait of someone, as a small flaw can cause the portrait to look nothing like the person in the portrait. It’s also especially useful when dealing with fragile, or thin materials, like paper or fabric. Knives used to cut these cause drag, which can tear the material, whereas laser use doesn’t face this problem because it doesn’t make physical contact. It makes sense to use laser engraving for things like portraits, texts, patterns and more, and comes to no surprise why we are contacted for our laser services.
