Safe Contractors

Laser engraving
Engraving away a thin layer of material to give a contrast between the engraved area and the untouched surface. Engraving can achieve block areas of contrast along with fades and shadows. This makes engraving a perfect option for personalising almost anything with text or even a photo-realistic engrave.
Laser Etching
Also known as kiss cutting, this is when a cut path is followed by the laser but using a much lower power and faster speed. This results in a precision marking technique that doesn’t cut all the way through the material. This technique can be used to make some interesting effects on many different types of material.
Back filling
Back filling is another service we provide. It is the process whereby the engraved area is coloured after the engraving process to achieve a higher contrast look than the engraving alone can achieve. This is most commonly used on plastics. We commonly use acrylic paints however inks, enamels, sprays and other technique can be used to achieve the desired effect.
Nesting/Waste
We use our experience along with computer programs to set up cut files with tight nesting to maximise efficiency and minimise waste. This is very important in bringing costings down and maximising productivity. We store the bigger off-cuts in-house. These always come in useful for smaller projects. If we can’t reuse our off-cuts we make a point in recycling all our waste where possible.
Storage
We have the ability to store large amounts of materials in-house along with completed products ready for delivery. We have clients which we have open ended contracts to laser cut their products. The products above were delivered to us direct, we then had to process and cut the stock to the desired designs. On completion we would store them ready for distribution to the sales companies and fitters.
Delivery/ Installation
We offer a worldwide delivery service along with installation if required. This often involves designing and constructing bespoke foam lined transportation boxes to ensure the safety of the products. We have installed a huge variation of creative projects from bespoke signage and displays to giant architectural models which you can walk around on.
