Our customers frequently ask us whether we can engrave in colour, which lasers are unable to do so. The good news is that there is a technique to change the colour of your engraving: we call this technique an acrylic infill. To achieve this, we infill the engraving using acrylic paint.
Acrylic colour infill
After the object has been laser cut and engraved, we may use a spatula to begin painting the engraving.
We take a generous amount of paint and apply it to the etched sections. quite similar to frosting a cake.
After allowing it to dry, the extra paint is carefully scraped off using a polishing compound.
This enables us to remove the extra paint without having to remove the infill.
The simplest approach to accomplish this is to use a microfiber cloth and a little polishing compound, then slowly and circularly rub the extra paint off.
